I am a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist from the Pacific Northwest, with a passion for nature photography. I also love to golf, hike, bike, and ski. I frequently enjoy hiking and nature photography with my son. My daughter is a wonderfully creative photographer, artist, writer, and videographer, but prefers photographing people and black and white abstracts. Mom is our best critic. We have three dachshunds, a front porch cat and a back porch cat.
I've loved photography since I was a young child with my Kodak Brownie camera, and my interest grew while I was in Vietnam and purchased my first Nikon. In the 70's I was influenced by the works of W. Eugene Smith, Henri Cartier Bresson, and Gordon Parks. However, I converted to a digital Nikon a couple of years ago, and age has given me the patience to sit along a mountain stream and wait for the moment. If I were younger, I'd travel the world searching for the perfect photograph, but I'll have to leave that journey to my children.
